The end of the road…

…for temporary housing! Wooooo hoooooo!

We found our house. And it’s so adorable. And modern. And new. Not brand new – but lived in just enough for someone else to break it in. And it’s got none of the 120 year old charm that we had back East … but we are OK with that.

Immediate projects: paint two rooms and buy the kids some beds.

Long-term projects: make it our home.

We were half-tempted to ask them to leave the furnishings behind – these people had some kickin’ taste. Since we literally found out we got the house today and are moving in at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow (Friday), we’ll just see how our crap lovely home furnishings look and go from there. More on the purchase saga later. For now – here are some pics.

I'm Bridget. 37. Mom. Wife. Worker. I lived in Philadelphia (or thisclose to the city) for 35 years. That's all changed. We moved. From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. To Portland, Oregon. Cue minor culture shock.

  1. CONGRATULATIONS!!! It is BEAUTIFUL!!! It seems like a very Clark-like house. I can totally see your style in there. I love it! I can’t wait to visit…. but I’ll settle for you visiting here first!

  2. It looks great. Love it and know you will as well. How many bedrooms??? All the best in your new home away from home.
