I spent my first (and only!) free afternoon in London strolling around – oh, you know – BUCKINGHAM PALACE. I find the fact that I could walk out of my hotel, head up a few streets and land upon a palace to be simply incredible. It was one of the many reasons I found London so charming. I mean really – I can drive around town and go past Portland City Hall. Nice, but not a palace by any stretch.

I happened to arrive in London on the day of the London Marathon, so the streets were a bit hectic. As in massively crowded. A lot of areas were blocked off. Still, I made do with the areas that we open and had a lovely, sunny afternoon stroll.

Here are some pictures I took of Buckingham Palace. More from the other areas I visited to follow.

I'm Bridget. 37. Mom. Wife. Worker. I lived in Philadelphia (or thisclose to the city) for 35 years. That's all changed. We moved. From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. To Portland, Oregon. Cue minor culture shock.
